Comment: This guide is for the students following the course on line.

Step 1

Create a ZOOM account

Once and for all, you have to create an account on the web conference service https://zoom.us. Give your last name, first name and ISAE-SUPAERO student email. Install the ZOOM application on your computer and connect to the service.

Step 2

Determine which classroom your course is held in

Look at your personal schedule beforehand to see which classroom your course will be held in.

For this, use the on-line service, CALIFOR, available on the ICampus portal for ISAE-SUPAERO’s on-line services.

Step 3

Join the digital twin room on the LMS

Each room equipped with the HyFlex system has a digital twin on the learning management platform at ISAE-SUPAERO (LMS).

Connect to the LMS, then click on the room or location of your course in the HyFlex section of the LMS.

Step 4

Ready? PLAY!

If the course transmission has already begun, a flashing blue icon invites to join the remote course session with a simple click of the mouse. If the course hasn’t started yet, a fixed gray icon tells you to wait. Just wait for the course to begin and click on the icon when it turns blue.

Step 5

Ask a question and interact?

If you have a question about the course content, the easiest way is probably to communicate it to a friend or partner in the classroom using a messaging service (e.g., rocketchat provided by ISAE-SUPAERO or any other messaging tool like whatsapp, facebook, etc.) to ask the teacher. For questions of substance, you can also count on the fact that you will be able to be present in the classroom next day and will have direct access to the teacher.

Depending on the class, you will be invited by the teacher to interact with the class in person. In this case, the teacher will give instructions:
- use of the SpeakUp application to ask questions and vote for the others' application
- moment dedicated to questions ("TOGETHER" mode) allowing live dialogue
- other means are available to interact, the IQuiz service, post-its or the collaborative text editor.

Step 6

Access course replay

The course can be made available to students (depending on the professor’s choice) for 72 hours (3 days). It can be accessed via ISAE-SUPAERO’s Nextcloud platform by selecting the HyFlex volume corresponding to your class.

You are ready to use HyFlex!
